I make a living making decks. Yea, you got it – they are mostly winding PowerPoints I slide through. Sometimes miraculously though, they make power points.
Few know that I fancily see myself as a ‘deck-orator’.
Today, when I am not making as deck, I realise ‘deck’ is such a beautiful word. It inspires me to say that my world is not an oyster, but a deck that I dance upon.
Sometimes we are all hands on deck and sometimes, I am alone. But the deck is pounded well, alright!
I have an epiphany that I must deck my hall with happiness perpetually, and y’all too should.
Life sometimes doesn’t give one the Queen. So what? Reshuffle the deck. Heck, the joker may becomes yours. Better still, you’ll become a joker, making one and all lol.
And then I see the flight deck. I am the pilot of my flight. However, beautiful may be the passenger seat views but the pilot’s place in the deck is where the kiss with clouds feels best.
Man, the deck makes me smile. One word with so many nuances. I should have made a deck on ‘decks’.
For now, though let me make a wish – let 2023 take you to the deck of your dreams where you fulfil your desires, where you can experience and have views that you long for. May the deck be with you!
